Marta and Enric are the couple of a lifetime, they are a charm, those couples that together are better than separately. They have been together since they were teenagers, they have grown up togetherand have supported each other in difficult times. This video of a wedding in Castell d'Empordà is a clear example of this.  

A wedding in a castle in La Bisbal

Marta and Enric's wedding was partly difficult, a day full of nostalgia, melancholy and grief. Marta and Enric were going to celebrate their wedding a year before but shortly before the big day, Marta' s father passed away and they decided to postpone the celebration to the following year. It was a good decision because, although there were moments of sadness during the ceremony or in the preparations, it could also be a day of celebration, a day to celebrate life and love.

The wedding was at the Castell d'Empordà, a restored castle, transformed into a beautiful hotel. The rooms are wonderful and the surroundings too, the only flaw is that the so-called "option b" (the space that would be used if it rains) was a bit small for the large number of guests at Marta and Enric's wedding. We always recommend that when choosing a venue you choose one where you like the "option b" and it fits with your wedding. Rain is always a surprise at any time of the year.

A very moving ceremony

Despite the rain, the wedding was beautiful. The truth is that when the bride and groom adore each other and want to celebrate nothing can go wrong. The master of ceremony was Enric's mother, who made a very moving speech remembering Marta's father and describing how the two families had come together to form one. That is also what a marriage is, not only two people come together, but also their loved ones.

There were many more speeches from family and friends that gave a more fun touch to the ceremony, going over all the anecdotes of Marta and Enric's story.

As always happens in rainy weddings, the weather gives us a break for a while, so we took the opportunity to make the report of the bride and groom around the castle. The photographer with whom we did this wedding was our beloved Juanjo Vega, he is undoubtedly one of our favourite photographers in Barcelona.

It was a rather classic wedding , very elegant and with the crazy touch that the party always deserves.
