Getting married in Catalonia

Matthieu is Parisian and Maryam is Iranian, both met in Chicago, where they have lived ever since. In their case, they chose Catalonia to celebrate their wedding because it seemed the ideal place to bring together their friends and family from all over the world.

The chosen venue was La Baronía, a very special farmhouse converted into a space for celebrations. La Baronía is a magical place with gardens full of modernist details and a beautiful tower that conquers many couples for its unquestionable beauty.

The preparations were a lot of fun, Maryam decided to do her hair and make-up by herself, with such bad luck that when she was about to get dressed, she got excited when she saw the decoration of the ceremony and had to put her make-up on again. Mathieu got dressed with his best men and they took the opportunity to take some fun photos before the ceremony.

The bride and groom wanted to see each other before the ceremony, so together with the photographer Marga Martí, we organised an improvised first-look while the guests were taking their seats. The first-look is a very exciting moment where you can share an intimate moment with your partner before the hustle and bustle of a wedding begins.

A Persian ceremony

The ceremony was held following various Persian rites, with speeches by the guests, enlivened by the live voice and guitar of Mayram's cousin.

Both the aperitif and the dinner were outdoors. Nuovi Piatti Events They chose long wooden tables that looked beautiful with the lighting and the floral decorations by Atmosphere Barcelona. The party was explosive, the guests didn't stop dancing from the first moment and the bride and groom enjoyed a wonderful day with their guests in a dreamlike environment.
