Elena and Oriol have been together since they were very young. They are one of those couples who seem to be as much in love as the first day. You only have to watch their wedding video at Centenaria 1779 and listen to the vows they wrote to see how much they love and admire each other.
The nerves of preparation
Both Elena and Oriol decided to get dressed at their parents' house. When we arrived at the bride's house, accompanied by our fellow photographer Juanjo Vega, nerves were already on edge. Brenda, the make-up artist of Brenda's boudoir, and the hairdresser Laura Aragón Style had already started to do Elena's hair and make-up. Elena didn't want to feel dressed up at her own wedding so they chose a very natural look with a romantic air that was ideal with the dress made to measure by Barea Barcelona. Oriol, on the other hand, got dressed in a moment so he could get to the Centenaria and wait for the guests.
Getting married in a Catalan farmhouse
La Centenaria 1779, formerly known as Masía Ribas, is a charming old renovated farmhouse in Gavá. It is ideal for weddings with many guests, as it has large spaces to accommodate a large number of people.
The outdoor ceremony was filled with speeches from family and friends, lots of emotion and a few tears. In the rush, the people in charge of handing out the petals forgot to do so, so they had to wait to throw them during the aperitif entrance. Sometimes things don't go as planned, that's why we advise you to let yourself go on your wedding day and don't worry about everything going perfectly, improvisation can bring you magical moments!
Once at the aperitif, prepared by the spectacular Le Chef catering, the bride and groom took the opportunity to be with their guests and take photos with their mobile phones. After dinner, held in La Orangerie's marvellous conservatory, Elena and Oriol opened the dancing in the central courtyard of the Centenaria, kicking off a lively party that lasted well into the early hours of the morning.
