The Far de Sant Sebastià is an ideal place to celebrate a destination wedding on the Costa Brava, which is why Silvia and Tom were very clear, from the moment they visited it, that it would be the place where they would celebrate their wedding.

Getting married by the sea

Silvia and Tom met in London when Silvia went to work in the city, that is where they fell in love and decided to start a life together in the English capital. Silvia wanted to celebrate her wedding in her home country and for this reason they chose Catalonia to tie the knot.

The Camino de Ronda is one of the most visited and picturesque hiking routes in Catalonia and passes right in front of the Far de Sant Sebastià. A wedding with views of the immensity of the ocean in a restaurant with a seafaring air.

The first to dress was Tom, along with his best-man and his parents. The groom was dressed in an elegant blue suit, while the bride, who was waiting in another room, chose a mermaid cut dress with embroidery. Together with Lutton Gand' s team of photographers we took some beautiful images of the bride and groom's preparations.

The ceremony was full of emotion, full of speeches in several languages that some of the guests dedicated to the couple. The bride and groom did not want to miss the opportunity to write a beautiful vow to each other and share it in front of everyone present.

Speeches at English weddings

As is traditional in England, after the ceremony and before entering the restaurant, the bride and groom thank their guests for attending. The guests also take the opportunity to congratulate the coupleand pass on their best wishes.

It is at dinner time that the best-man gives a few amusing words to the bride and groom. In England, the speeches during the reception are usually lengthy and although at first glance it may seem that they break the rhythm of the celebration, it is quite the opposite. The speeches were perfectly animated and translated into both languages.
